Highfield Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (EPFA) RQF (7 hours)
Who Should Attend?
This course is aimed at professionals responsible for the care of young children and infants up to 8 years old, including teachers, playgroup leaders, childcare providers, nannies, au pairs, childminders, and others in similar roles. It is designed to equip you with the essential skills to manage emergency situations involving babies and children.
Please note, this course is intended to complement existing paediatric first aid provision. It does not fully meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework, which mandates that at least one person holding a current full paediatric first aid certificate be present when children are on site and during outings. If you require a full paediatric first aid qualification, please consider attending our Paediatric First Aid at Work - 12 Hours Course.
Delegates must be aged 18 or older, with a basic command of English (Level 2). We can provide support for non-native English speakers, though this may be limited based on time and the number of participants.

The course is available at our training centre in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, or it can be delivered on-site at your workplace for groups of up to 12 delegates.
Course Content:
This course will teach delegates how to assess emergency situations involving babies and young children, prioritise their actions, and understand the role and responsibilities of a paediatric first aider. The topics covered include:

Ongoing assessment throughout the course by the tutor.
Certification:
Upon successful completion, delegates will receive a Level 3 Certificate in Emergency Paediatric First Aid.
